Zotcade

osu! UCI is excited to participate in the 2017 Zotcade LAN with our own sub-LAN, Love Lan Spring Irvine Festival. We will be hosting two tournaments: one for osu! mania (4k) players and one for osu! standard players. Zotcade is a live BYOC(Bring Your Own Computer) event, so make sure to bring all your necessary gadgets and accessories.

Location

The tournament will take place on saturday, April 15th, 2017. Time 11:00AM to 11:00PM. The LAN however starts at 3PM and ends at ~10:00PM the same day. If you will be participating in one of the tournament please arrive before the tournament starts and have enough time to set up your computer and warm up if needed. Feel free to come early and hang out. We are located in the UCI Student Center, full address: 311 W Peltason Dr, Irvine, CA 92697. Food is not provided at the event, but there are plenty of chains and restaurants in walking distance around the area. All-day parking is available in the adjacent Student Center Parking Structure for around $10.

Food and refreshments are not provided by Zotcade. There are 4 retail chains within the Student Center building, and a plaza called University Center with many more options across the street.

Format

osu! Standard Format

• Double elimination
• Each round will be best of 5
• Quarterfinals will be best of 7
• Semifinals will be best of 9
• Finals will be best of 9

osu! Mania (4k) Format

• Double elimination
• Each round will be best of 5
• Semifinals will be best of 7
• Finals will be best of 9

Prizing

Prize pool will consist of gaming keyboards, heatsets and mice.

We will have the top 3 from each tournament pick a prize in order (standard 1st, mania 1st, standard 2nd, mania 2nd...)

The remaining prizes will be chosen by the top standard players 4th place and lower.

Rules

Lobby and Matches

• Missing your match counts as a loss; no rematches will be made
• At the beginning of each lobby please be sure to save the match history link in case of an issue
• Matches are in osu! standard with score v2 as the win condition.
• !roll begins every match
• Higher roll decides the map
• Thereafter, game loser decides next map
• The tiebreaker map is predetermined as the 5th map
• No Fail is not allowed. If a player fails a song at the end of the map then it counts as a loss.
• If both players fail the song at the end then score determines the winner.

Disconnection

• On first disconnect, the opponent decides to rematch or not
• Second and further disconnects are counted as losses

Misconduct & Cheating

• Unsportsmanlike behavior and harassment will not be tolerated and can factor into your removal
• Any sort of verbal harassment towards another in the tourney will NOT be tolerated. This includes referees, bystanders, and any other attendees of the LAN
• Under no circumstances are players allowed to touch the peripherals or computer of another without explicit permission

Any disregard for these rules will be met with punishment, ranging from a warning to immediate disqualification. It will be up to the discretion of the staff to punish based on the severity of the offense. *Disclaimer: These rules and regulations are subject to change without notice, and hence should be reviewed frequently.
